Bernard Spiegl

I am a Data Scientist at CERN supervised by Sofia Vallecorsa. My research focuses on development of particle physics foundation models for simulating particle interactions and behavior inside High Energy Physics detectors. Previously, I have had opportunities to explore a variety of interdisciplinary paths, spanning neuroscience, vision, audio and language. Overall, my interest lies in driving innovation through integration of domain‐specific expertise with interdisciplinary insights.
Prior to the current position, I was at Aalto University where I obtained a MSc in Signal Processing and Data Science (with minors in Human Neuroscience and Technology, as well as Acoustics and Audio Technology) under joint supervision of Alexander Ilin and Stéphane Deny. I also hold a BSc in Computer Science obtained at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb under supervision of Siniša Šegvić .
